New Name + New Site = New Opportunities
Wow…I have not been posting on here as regularly as I really should but that does not mean I have not been around.
Things have been crazy busy between baby stuff, work, photography, and just life in general. Its all been good though and I am thoroughly excited for what the future holds!!
This post is basically to inform everyone that as of July 1st, 2010 WhiteGuardian Design will become WhiteGuardian Photography. This also means that there will be a huge site revamping sometime during July so keep yours eyes peeled!
A friend and I have been planning to make our businesses official for a while and we have finally completed all the necessary steps. I am eager to see how things progress and to grow my business as WhiteGuardian Photography. WhiteGuardian Design is registered as well but for a later use depending on how things go.
I have a lot of decisions to make for many different things for the business in the near future so like I said earlier…keep your eyes peeled and if things get wonky around here shoot me an email and please bear with me.
On a side note:
Nicole and baby (aka. Charlie) are doing GREAT! She is 24 weeks along and we decided not to find out the sex. We finished the nursery for the most part yesterday and now need furniture and baby to complete it. Things are flying by and I am getting more and more excited for October to get here!
I should have some updated pictures up here later this weekend from a recent wedding, graduation, model shoot, and misc. others I have taken lately.
Side note #2:
My phone went poof and therefore I have a new number now. Shoot me and email or use the contact form to contact me and I will give you the new number..

We are having a Baby!!
We got the great news a few weeks ago!
We went to the doctor, had the first ultrasound, and heard the heartbeat last week. It was pretty cool and neither of us really said much during the process.
We are both extremely excited. I don’t think it has fully set in yet, as neither of us are that nervous.
None the less…here a a few images thus far..
Enjoy!

Thanks and Happy New Year!
I know it is a bit late…but better late than never right?
I wanted to shout out a quick Thank You to each and every person that made 2009 a success for us! We could not have done it with out you and we look forward to working with you in 2010.
——————————-
We are looking forward to what the next year will bring good, bad, and ugly. It has already started off ugly and good. Either way we are planning on hitting photography as hard as we can and grow our skills as a photographer. We want to grow the business and enter in more exhibitions and contests throughout the year. We plan to get out of our comfort zone and try new things and learn as much as we can.
We out grew our older camera body a while ago so we have added a new body to the setup. We will keep the older one around as a second body and a backup. We have also added some flashes and other lighting equipment to our setup so that we can better learn and work with flash photography as well as work better in our small studio/office.
We are again participating this year in the Photochallenge through http://www.photochallenge.org. The setup for this year is a theme set for 4 weeks and submissions are weekly.
On a side note, a close friend of ours found a lost Sun Conure a couple weeks ago and they have named him Dexter. Check him and his crazy colors out!
We wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Lighthouse Baptist Charity Motorcycle Ride
My brother, Bobby organized a local motorcycle charity ride through his local church to raise money for local families that have lost jobs or are struggling with the economy changes. He asked me to photograph the event so that he could promote it next year as well as document this years first annual event. I almost say that the people riding could not have asked for a better day as far as weather was concerned. Everything went pretty smoothly the entire time and everyone enjoyed the ride as well as the fellowship and helping a great cause.
Here are a few pictures from the day:
Please read more to see the event details and more pictures.

Holiday Weekend Kick-off (Not!)
This past weekend as we all know was Independence Day (a.k.a. 4th of July). I was off of work on Friday and pretty excited about the 3 day weekend. I left work on Thursday at the normal time and was going to head over to work on a clients computer system and then head off to my monthly photo meeting. I never made it that far…

Fixing a Tattoo
This past weekend I was asked to drive a friend to get his tattoo fixed. Of course I would help a friend but on top of that it gave me an opportunity to take pictures of something different and possibly out of my comfort zone. Therefore I was pretty excited!
Before any one says anything…I know these are not “artsy” or anything fancy but he is going back again and I will try to work the artsy side then.
Read the rest of the post to hear the story behind the tattoo and why it had to be fixed along with some more images.

Visiting Beaufort, NC
I know this is a week late but i was in class/training all last week and my schedule was NUTS!
For Memorial Day weekend Nicole and I decided to go back and camp in Beaufort for a night. We have visited part of the area before but wanted to go back and atleast grab another lighthouse. We are working on going to all of them on the outer banks. We also wanted to visit Morehead City, Fort Macon again, and Atlantic Beach.

Comatose Tour 2009 – Fayetteville, NC
My dad called me a while back and asked if I was interested in going to Fayetteville to see Skillet, Disciple, and Decyfer Down in concert. Who was he kidding? I have waited to Skillet for years and them being this close to home…of course I wanted to go! Disciple and Skillet have been working on getting a tour together for a bit over 8 years now I believe. What an awesome time to see both bands together. He decided to make it a guy’s night and bought the tickets for me, my little brother, and himself, as my other two brothers were not interested in going. So here I was…waiting patiently for May 16th to get here.
A little bit of background…I have liked Skillet from the first time I heard them many years back. To me they were just one of those bands that just clicks with your personality. They had a quirky and unusual beat and rhythm and I loved it. Soon after falling in love with Skillet I was introduced to Disciple, Project 86, Pillar, and East West. Until the concert I had never heard Decyfer Down but now I have to get at least one of their CD’s!
